Today I wanted to discuss an awesome product – the Zipadee-Zip. I was lucky enough to receive some samples of this amazing product and want to make sure you all know about it.
I get a lot of questions about ways to transition out of swaddling infants. Sometimes the infant is starting to roll and so swaddling is no longer safe, but the baby does not sleep well without being swaddled. Sometimes the baby is just getting to an age where they keep getting out of the swaddle and then waking themselves up. So what is a parent to do?
Enter the Zipadee-Zip wearable blanket. Your child can roll in it and it is still safe, but it still gives a sense of being swaddled, so babies sleep well in it. And you do not have to worry about safety issues about having a blanket in the crib with your baby because the Zipadee-Zip comes in different fabrics to keep your baby as warm or as cool as they need to be to sleep.
They have different sizes of the Zipadee-Zip, from 3 months all the way up to around 28 months. And they have recently introduced the Flying Squirrel style which can work for toddlers since it has feet and hand openings (and optional feet and hand coverings which would be good for keeping socks on, or for children who may scratch themselves in the middle of the night).
Several of my clients have used the Zipadee-Zip has a great solution to transition off the swaddle. It is a great product and a greatly needed solution!!
